Dial Hill To Sea Front Circular Walk

An interesting short circular walk visiting Dial Hill, Zig-Zag path, Hill Road, Alexandra Gardens and Road, the Victorian Pier and Marine Lake

Start: Highdale Road, Clevedon

2. At top of hill turn right on to Old Park Road.  Where the road bends left carry on ahead entering woods.

3. Keep straight ahead through gate ignoring path joining from right

4. Take path on left heading uphill

5. Continue straight ahead through woods, turning into a lane at the back and side of houses, and turn left on to Rippleside Road

6. Where road bends left carry straight on ahead on a Tarmac footpath

7. After leaving footpath walk up Old Park Road

8. Take footpath on left opposite 77 Grove Cottage and emerge onto a stone driveway. Turn left and then almost immediately turn right on driveway in front of house number 16

9. Turn left on to road

10. Carry on straight ahead on a footpath with woods on the left and houses on the right

11. Shortly after passing the top of Old Park Road turn left doubling back on a higher path

12. Turn right continuing through woods to the top of Dial Hill

13. Pass the Trig point and at the single metal seat turn right downhill to T junction of footpaths and turn left to road

14. Cross the road and walk down the Zig-Zig path to Hill Road and turn right

15. Turn left into Alexandra Gardens, walk downhill to Alexandra Road and turn right walking along Alexandra Road to the Pier

16. Cross the road turning left to walk entire length of the seafront visiting Marine Lake near the Salthouse Pub

17. Walk around the outside of Salthouse Fields

18. Leave Salthouse Fields through the gate where Old Church Road meets Elton Road.  Cross the road (with care) and walk up Old Church Road, passing the petrol ststion on your right and turn left into Victoria Road

19. Walk a short way up Victoria Road and take the Tarmac footpath on right heading uphill, eventually emerging onto St John’s Avenue

20. Make your way through the Victorian housing estate to Highdale Road

21. Turn right onto the Tarmac footpath heading downhill

22. Turn left onto footpath with woods on your left and houses on your right and back to the start
