At Staddons Block, we specialise in the management of small residential blocks in Clevedon and the surrounding areas. How did you start your business? What’s the story?
Charlotte: With over 10 years of experience in lettings, I’ve had the privilege of managing a wide variety of properties and building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and tradespeople. Over time, I developed a real passion for creating well-managed, stress-free living environments, which naturally led me to transition into block management. Being from Clevedon, I saw an opportunity to have a greater impact by improving the quality of life for entire communities. I noticed that many block management companies were charging excessive fees while delivering poor communication and underwhelming service. This inspired me to establish my own company — one built on transparency, fair pricing, and a commitment to consistently high standards.
Matt: I’ve spent the past 8 years in the accounting industry, working with a broad range of businesses — from sole traders to a FTSE 250 company — across sectors including construction, property development, and block management. Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong foundation in financial operations while supporting clients with both day-to-day management and strategic planning. I pride myself on going beyond the numbers, offering clear, straightforward communication, and translating complex financial data into practical, actionable insights.
