Tell us about your business. What services do you provide?
We sell lots of lovely stationery of all sorts. We do a little bit of commercial stationery, but mostly things like cards, wrapping paper, lovely notebooks and pens.
How did you start your business? What’s the story?
We started nearly 30 years ago as commercial stationers and in fact we were That Copy Shop, so we did photocopying, large format copying and so on. Then about 13 years ago we split the copying side of the business off and sold it to our nephew Jez, and transformed the shop into what you see today.
What is the best thing about running a business in Clevedon?
The best thing is definitely the customers, you get really attached and they become friends. It’s just a lovely environment to work in. I think I’ve got the best spot in Clevedon, right opposite Alexandra Gardens. It’s just so beautiful.
Saker Stationery is on Alexandra Road, and is open from 10am – 4.30pm every day apart from Sundays.
