Tell us about your business. What services do you provide?
We provide chocolates and confectionary, and party supplies.
With Christmas coming we offer unique presents that you can’t buy elsewhere on the high street. We sell our lovely hand chocolate boxes, which are curated in the shop – hand made Belgium and English chocolates. You can send these by post to loved ones.
Because this years theme across Clevedon is the Nutcracker we have a lovely Nutcracker range including advent calendars and novelty bits.
How did you start your business? What’s the story?
I graduated but wasn’t quite sure where to go. I knew I didn’t want to work for a big corporation. I’ve always liked working with people and I’ve always had a passion for chocolate. I was working with my mum in Gems and then a unit came up on Hill Road and it seemed meant to be really. I thought there was a niche for chocolate in Clevedon and hopefully I was right as it’s been 24 years and I’m still going!
What is the best thing about running a business in Clevedon?
I love the Clevedon community! We’ve got a brilliant loyal customer base of all ages who have supported us for years and hopefully will continue to do so!
