In support of the community project "Light Up The Parks", women's health expert Sophie Heath is hosting a Halloween themed, family friendly class on Sunday 31st October

The fun fitness event will take place on The Salthouse Fields from 9:30am and there’s a prize for the best fancy dressed family!

The hope is to enjoy a quick work-out on a Sunday morning, meet other families and raise support (and money!) for the Light Up The Parks initiative, which is  organised and run by local businesses.

Light Up The Parks is a joint effort from the businesses owners in the area and the Clevedon BID to bring back the Christmas illuminations we all enjoyed so much last year.

What started off as as stunning selection of lights to bring us all a little bit closer together in spirit, organically grew into a quiet hub of evening activity with local businesses staying open late to serve food & drink and gave many shops an opportunity to stay open later and let customers support local businesses safely. The installations brought a little “light” relief not only to the community who came to see them, but a boost to the local independent economy.

Families came together under the lights and enjoyed mulled wine, late night shopping and hot take away food with incredible festive cheer.

To do it again, the collective of business owners need an additional £8,000 to pay the local lighting company in full, who had kindly discounted their work last year in light of the pandemic. Sophie Heath has kindly offered a helping hand with her fun-loving, fitness expertise this Halloween and though there’s no charge, she recommends a £5 donation to the Light Up The Parks fund.
