Fitness for women across the lifespan with Sophie Heath

Sophie Heath is a local Personal Trainer and Nutritionist who specialises in women’s health and has recently launched some exciting new offerings in the local area to help improve the support for women wanting to keep fit throughout their life stages. Her new pregnancy fitness classes are held on a Wednesday evening at 6.30pm at The Barn. They are not only a great way to stay safely active throughout pregnancy (helping with those aches & pain!) but she prepares attendees for labour and the post natal period too. She has also created a whatsapp group for local Mums-to-Be (open to all, not just class attendees) because she recognised there weren’t many places for pregnant women to meet. She hopes this group will help women to build their very own support network ready for their
new chapter ahead – helping both mental and physical wellbeing.

 

 

Sophie also has a new Women’s Only fitness class that aims to help give women a safe space to workout with like minded ladies “sometimes women don’t have the confidence to go to the gym, or to lift weights, but this class is a friendly and all inclusive environment for women to start, or get back into, some cardio & resistance training to keep them fit & healthy – and I try to make things fun too!”. These sessions are held at The Barn on Wednesdays at 7.30pm (using the outdoor space when the weather is nice too).

She is still running her local post natal fitness classes for Mums too where you can bring your baby (or small toddler) along – so you don’t have to workout alone at home if you have your child in tow! This is a class designed to help women get back into fitness post children, but there are options given to suit all levels and needs. This class runs on a Tuesday at 11am at The Barn.

 

 

Along with her local fitness classes, Sophie also has some upcoming nutrition workshops in the local area. Her first one is going to be focussed on Sports Nutrition for those fitness enthusiasts (this can be 5k park runs!) and will be held at Ozbox gym on Tuesday 16th July at 7.30pm.
