Lexie lives in London and works as a confidence coach as well as presenting on Riverside Radio, a South West London station. See how she spends her time in Clevedon with her mum, for the perfect dog friendly, fun filled, good food fuelled weekend.

My Mum and I decided to have a short break away, a staycation, whilst my Dad was at a conference in Amsterdam. We met in Bristol first as it’s halfway between my Mum who was coming from Torquay, Devon and I got the train from London. We had heard Clevedon was very pretty and so decided to stay there for a few days at the Walton Park Hotel. My little toy poodle dog, Bali, was coming on the trip too so we had to find somewhere dog friendly! The hotel was beautiful, perched on the cliff and had the most beautiful views across the water to Wales.

It was an easy walk to get to the seafront and the quaint shops of Hill Road. We loved Hill Road, it had the nicest village feel and everyone was so friendly! We bought a couple of things from the emporium charity shop and spent pretty much an entire day in The Cellar restaurant and wine bar, our favourite place in Clevedon! On the first day we had a coffee and Danish pastry there, then went back for cake…..

And even went back for the £10 tapas deal in the evening, along with a bottle of red of course! We also did a lot of walking! The dog loved strolling through Alexandra gardens and chasing the squirrels and the views along the seafront and around the marine lake were stunning, even though we had some rain!

Unfortunately we didn’t make it to poets walk so we’ll save that for next time! Walking along the pier is a must! The history was fascinating.

We also enjoyed walking through the residential streets and admiring all the grand Victorian villas. We walked to The triangle, had coffee in another dog friendly spot called Teatro lounge and then popped next door to Three6T the 2nd hand designer store. What a gem of a boutique, it’s safe to say we spent a while in there and came out with more than we went in with!!

Whilst in Clevedon I was also shooting some content for a fashion brand based in Torquay called Sally Allen Fashion. They have just designed an #AnytimeDress in 3 colours (blue, a vibrant multi coloured pattern and staple black) the dress comes in 2 styles, short and long and have an optional matching shrug. Sally designed the dresses to be worn anytime, anywhere from walking the dog to attending a black tie dinner, from the office to the dance floor!

Clevedon was the perfect back drop!
