Day Trip Diaries: Kaya @loveforbristol

Kaya is a Bristol based blogger who enjoys travel, food and culture. She came to Clevedon this week to see what our town has to offer and found some great spots for food, drink, photography and of course, the sea!

You can find Kaya posting in instagram @loveforbristol and blogging on her website.

‘Clevedon is a charming seaside town with lots to keep you occupied, from independent, unique gift shops to a choice of fine restaurants. The picturesque Marine Lake and Poets Walk is certainly worth a visit. A perfect day out and only a 30-minute drive from Bristol.’

No. 5 On The Beach is a great place for visitors to pick up a takeaway coffee or enjoy lunch with views across the sea front. They are well known for their cakes in Clevedon, prepare to indulge!

Take a walk from the main sea front, towards Marine Lake, and you’ll spot brightly coloured houses that bring seaside charm.

You can’t beat fish and chips by the sea. Clevedon Sea Front Fish & Chips can deliver your lunch, freshly fried and full of flavour to enjoy in the pebbles.

Marine Lake is a great spot for fantastic views across the water. There are always a few people swimming and you can enjoy ice cream and sweet treats from Johanna’s Tea Room.

Take a wander into town, and you’ll find one of three of our commissioned murals by Damien Jeffrey you can read more about his involvement with Clevedon BID and his work here.

Light shopping can include a trip to Saker Stationery, a one stop shop for books, games, posters, notepads, gifts and a variety of pens and pencils.

A trip to Clevedon wouldn’t be complete without a photo the Pier! Thank you to Kaya for visiting Clevedon and sharing her day trip with us. You can find more from Kaya at @loveforbristol on instagram.
